Frequently asked questions

Common questions.

How much does home networking installation cost in Maidenhead?

Every property is different so all quotes are provided after a free site survey. A typical whole-home Wi-Fi installation for a 3-4 bedroom house starts from around £500–£800 including equipment, cabling and configuration. Larger properties or those requiring structured cabling may be higher. There are no hidden fees — the quote covers everything.

What areas do you cover for home networking?

We are based in Maidenhead and cover the whole of Berkshire and surrounding areas including Windsor, Slough, Reading, Marlow, Cookham, Henley-on-Thames, Wokingham, Bracknell and the wider Thames Valley. We also take on work across London and the South East for larger installations.

Do you offer a free site survey?

Yes. Every residential networking project starts with a complimentary site survey. We assess your property layout, wall construction, existing cabling and coverage requirements before recommending a solution. There is no obligation to proceed after the survey.

What is UniFi and why do you recommend it?

UniFi is an enterprise-grade networking platform by Ubiquiti. We recommend it for residential installations because it delivers the same reliability and performance used in commercial environments — centralised management, seamless roaming between access points, VLAN support and excellent long-term value. Unlike consumer mesh systems, UniFi gives you full control over your network.

Can you fix Wi-Fi dead zones in my house?

Absolutely. Dead zones are the most common reason clients contact us. After a site survey we identify the cause — whether it is wall construction, distance from the router, or interference — and design a solution using strategically placed access points, wired backhaul where possible, and proper channel management. Most properties can achieve full coverage with 2-4 access points.

How long does a typical installation take?

A standard whole-home Wi-Fi installation typically takes half a day to a full day depending on the size of the property and the amount of cabling required. Larger properties or those requiring extensive structured cabling may take 1-2 days. We always aim to complete work with minimal disruption.
